You can't put a price on having a network of Franchise Partners you can call at any time

Meet Justin Teeter. When he was ready to leave his job at a jail, he looked to franchising opportunities that offered an established, proven system. He chose WOW 1 DAY PAINTING because of the network of support that came when you join the family. As Justin puts it, "Having a network of people you can contact at any time, you can't put a price on that." Here's what else he had to say about his journey as a new Franchise Partner.

Q: What made you want to own a business?

I'd been working at a jail in Douglas County for four years and was tired of the overtime, so I decided to look into other options. That's when I discovered WOW 1 DAY PAINTING -- that pretty much pushed me over the edge to own my own business!

Q: Why now - what was it that made you take the leap?

Last year with the riots and everything, it just felt like the right time to make the transition. There's definitely a certain amount of risk that comes with working at a jail, and after some time I felt like it was time to move to something different.

Q: In your opinion, what are the benefits of joining a franchise system?

Definitely the support of an established, proven system. In fact, I was telling my job site manager the other day how invaluable it is that I can call another Franchise Partner and ask a question about anything -- how cool is that?

Q: Why WOW 1 DAY PAINTING, what made this the right fit?

A lot of it had to do with my relationship with the WOW 1 DAY PAINTING Franchise Development Manager, Adam Winnett. He explained to me the potential of the business model and showed me examples of franchises that were doing exceptionally well. And it got me thinking: there isn't a service like this here in Omaha, where painters are in and out in just a day.

Q: What are you most looking forward to about being a business owner?

The connections with people! I love meeting new people and helping them out. I think there's also quite a bit of freedom in terms of lifestyle that comes with owning a franchise. For one, being able to afford and take vacations, that's huge.

Q: What are your passions / interests / hobbies - what makes you happiest and motivates you?

I'm very passionate about softball, so I try to play as often as I can. I also really like fishing, it's something that I do that helps me relax.

Q: Tell us about your territory, what makes it unique?

What's unique about Omaha is that there's so many different types of houses and styles. There really aren't any cookie cutter neighbourhoods, there's just a bunch of different little areas in one city. The people of Omaha are all hard-working blue collar people who understand the value in the service we're providing.

Q: How has the virtual element of the process been - the fact you haven't been able to visit the Junktion etc.?

It's been alright: there's been ups and downs. I'm very hands on, so it can be hard sometimes sitting in front of a computer during the onboarding process. That being said, given the circumstances, I think it was handled in the best possible way. I'm really not sure if many improvements could have been made, they really did adapt to the situation.
