We are so excited to welcome our newest Franchise Partner: Carlito Vasquez!

Residents and business owners in Winnipeg Manitoba can expect to see Carlito's clean, shiny vans and friendly, uniformed painters as he paints up a storm with his residential and commercial painting franchise.

We had a chance to sit down and chat with Carlito to find out what made him say WOW! to WOW 1 DAY PAINTING:

Why did you choose WOW 1 DAY PAINTING?

I spent some time thinking it through and realized that WOW 1 DAY PAINTING has the best value proposition in the painting industry. By taking an ordinary home services business such as painting and innovating it to be exceptional. Speed + Quality = WOW! This formula really appealed to me.

In addition to having a great business model, WOW 1 DAY PAINTING also has an excellent brand. Marketing, innovative systems and processes, exceptional leadership and passionate Franchise Partners. All this combined helped me make my decision, that this was the right brand for me.

What were your backgrounds prior to WOW?

Most recently I was working in the petroleum and construction industry in various roles, ranging from operations and logistics to management. Prior to that, I worked at Canada Post for 16 years as a supervisor, superintendent, continuous improvement lead, and route measurement officer. I graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Business Administration.

What are you looking forward to most about being a business owner?

I am very excited to be a part of the WOW 1 DAY PAINTING family. Having the opportunity to build a successful painting business in my community and working with the all the great people in Winnipeg.

What is your favorite color and why?

I have always liked green! According to the True Colors model, people who identify with the color green, like myself, are creative, efficient, analytical, inventive, logical, calm, collected, conceptual, and great problem solvers.

What are your passions outside of work?

Although volleyball is my favorite, I love being physically active and enjoy taking part in all types of sports activities. I also enjoy reading, cooking and spending time with my family.

How are you involved in your community?

I have been a volleyball referee for many years and have been involved with the volleyball community for most of my life. Most recently with my daughter's 403 Selects U15 club volleyball, and previously as head convenor for Winnipeg Coed Volleyball. I was also involved in VIP and hospitality for Team Canada Volleyball for 6 years and during the 1999 Pan American games.

What makes Winnipeg unique?

Winnipeg is unique for many reasons. The people, the festivals, the socials, they're all great! The number of restaurants and eateries here will amaze you. Some of my local favorites include, Salisbury House and Portage and Main, often referred to as the coldest and windiest intersection in Canada. Winnipeg is also the Slurpee capital of the world.

Fun facts about you, or anything else you'd like to share?

Winnipeg was home for over 30 years and after spending 10 years in Alberta, I'm finally coming back home, with my family. We are excited to reconnect with family and friends and looking forward to building new relationships in this vibrant city.
