Why did you choose WOW 1 DAY PAINTING?
I had originally inquired about a 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise, and through that process, I was introduced to WOW 1 DAY PAINTING. Initially, I was hesitant due to my unfamiliarity with the painting industry, but at every step of the way in the new franchise partnership process, I was beyond impressed with the O2E staff. The professionalism of O2E and the processes they have put in place put me at ease and convinced me that WOW 1 DAY PAINTING was the business for me.
What was your background prior to joining WOW 1 DAY PAINTING?
After 20 years in law enforcement, I retired and ventured into the real estate market for the last three years flipping homes and representing buyers and sellers.
What are you looking forward to most about being a WOW 1 DAY PAINTING business owner?
I can't wait to be involved in my local community, not only servicing them for their painting needs but also being able to support the various causes that arise throughout the year. Being a successful business owner will give me the opportunity to help make others lives better.
What are your passions outside of work?
My children are my passion. My wife and I have joked that our children's activities are our hobbies. We love to travel, especially to Disney World where our daughter is currently working. When I do have time, I love to Crossfit and mountain bike.
How are you involved with your community?
My wife teaches at the small Christian school where my son attends, and that is our main community nine months out of the year. We look for opportunities to volunteer both with the school and our local church. I know being a business owner will present me more opportunities to be involved in my local community going forward.
Do you have any role models or key motivators in your life?
Tim Ferris and Gary Vaynerchuck are huge motivators for me arriving at this point in my life. Tim Ferris lit the entrepreneur fire under me when I read the 4 hour work week and Gary Vaynerchuck provides daily motivation to keep "grinding" through his various social media platforms and books.
What makes your territory in Dallas unique?
The population in my Dallas territory has just exploded. Over a thousand people a day move into the greater Dallas area providing tremendous opportunities for my territory into the future.
Fun facts about you, or anything else you'd like to share?
I've been married to my high school sweetheart and my best friend for twenty-six years. She is the best decision I have ever made, and I look forward to growing this business with her.
