Why did you choose WOW 1 DAY PAINTING?
WOW 1 DAY PAINTING chose me!
I used to focus on finding a good job that paid well so I could achieve a good life and be a great person. After I had achieved those career goals, I found I was still striving for that great and happy life. From there, I simply strived to be a great person. Now I'm blessed with an amazing family and I've achieved my lifelong dream of owning my own business with an organization who shares the same core values that I have always believed in.
What was your background prior to joining WOW 1 DAY PAINTING?
I had the opportunity to spend over 15 years of my career working my way up in the physical and technological security industry. I started in the front lines and worked my way up to Operations Manager, in charge of over $30 million dollars of services. I oversaw everything from Finance, HR & Labour Relations, to Client Relations and the Call Centre. This experience has provided me with a solid foundation that I'll be able to apply the painting industry, which is driven to success by the people who work with me.
What are you looking forward to most about being a WOW 1 DAY PAINTING business owner?
I'm most looking forward to being proud of the hard work we do and knowing that work has a direct impact on my success and the success of those working with me. It's exciting to be an integral part of a collective group of high performers and being able to re-shape an industry one job at a time.
What are your passions outside of work?
My family is my true passion. They are who push me every day to be the best person I can be. I am passionate not only about being a provider to them but as a role model. Being able to show my family that dreams are achievable when you work hard and give it your all is what it's all about.
How are you involved with your community?
I only recently moved to the city of London, but I have already started to participate and engage in numerous community events which have allowed me to connect with many other families and residents. I am also in the process of working on formalizing a number of charitable foundations that WOW 1 DAY PAINTING London will be supporting.
Do you have any role models or key motivators in your life?
As an avid sports fan, I have always admired the average Joe's who became legends in their own sports. In recent times, athletes like Drew Brees(NFL) and Steph Curry(NBA) come to mind. Two physically below average players, whom many doubted their success. Their sheer drive to outwork and outperform everyone else has transcended them today into two of the best players in their sport. I have always aspired to adopt the same mindset in not only my professional life but also my personal life, allowing me to achieve greatness in my own world.
What makes your territory in London unique?
London is what I believe to be the "hidden gem" of Ontario. With a population of over 500,000, London has all the amenities and services one can find in Toronto. The city boasts about its own professional sports center, international airport, leading-edge medical facilities and its own major University and College. All nestled and surrounded by breathtaking natural landscapes, earning the right to call themselves the "Forest City". I tend to describe London as a "big city, with a small town feel", as there is definitely a sense of community in London.
Fun facts about you, or anything else you'd like to share?
I am an in the closet karaoke superstar. You can often find me in the basement of my home belting out performances for my family.
