Sandra shares with us what made her say WOW! to WOW 1 DAY PAINTING:
Why did you choose WOW 1 DAY PAINTING?
I was impressed with the branding, the colors really stuck out for me. But more importantly, the systems that were in place to help franchise partners succeed. This showed me that there was a clear plan to support me through my entrepreneurial journey.
What were your backgrounds prior to WOW?
I spent over 25 years in the insurance industry, selling, servicing, and managing an insurance brokerage.
What are you looking forward to most about being a business owner?
The opportunity to build a business with my family. They are 100% cheering me on through this new chapter, and their encouragement has been overwhelming.
What is your favorite color and why?
Green! I like how different tones of green have the ability to alter your mood, like hunter green for when I want a relax and lime green for when I'm feeling vibrant.
What are your passions outside of work?
Spending time with my family is most important to me. Working on our small farm with the horses and on our vegetable garden is when I'm the happiest. I love hockey and baseball. You can find me cheering for the local teams!
How are you involved with your community?
Working outside the Barrie area over the past 8 years has not allowed me very much community time. But I am back here now and so excited about getting involved with the local business community. I am also seeking opportunities to sponsor a local kids hockey team.
What makes Barrie unique?
Barrie is a growing city with an amazing waterfront area. A hustling and bustling town busy throughout the four seasons. There is always something to do here.
Fun facts about you, or anything else you'd like to share?
I am a wife, a mother of three, and a new grandmother. An avid multi-tasker; if you ever find me in front of the television I will be working on my laptop and watching the Leafs game at the same time. I always have a DIY project on the go which drives my husband a little crazy because I'm always looking for tools.
